Landscapists were asked to design and install a fresh and engaging play space for the children at Echidna Early Learning Centre.
The finished product delivered was an area that promoted a sense of exploration and imaginative play. We utilised a variety of natural materials and elements such as bush rocks, timbers and rope, to create a nautical themed space – complete with a boat and running creek bed.
If you look closely you will also discover some golden treasures strategically placed throughout the garden!
Landscapists also gave their kitchen garden a makeover with raised hardwood timber vegetable gardens, recycled brick paving and seating and a crazy-paved focus centre.
It was important to provide a low-maintenance and hardy garden so we included plant varieties such as Senecio serpens (Blue chalksticks), Poas, and Carpobrotus. These varieties will fill out over time, enhancing the natural feel of the play space over time for more children to come through and enjoy!
